What's a really good fashion photography camera that's still pretty cheap?

I broke my Nikon D90 so my parents are furious, and won't be paying like £600 for a new one.. I need like a cheapish camera that I can use for fashion photography.. any suggestions?

1. and you can't get it repaired? Nikon makes a pretty durable camera so I'm wondering what possibly could have been done to damage this camera to the point that it's irreparable. I broke the shutter on my D100 and Nikon refurbished at my request. The camera doesn't determine it's application, the photographer does. There is no such thing as a fashion camera. My suggestion would be to inquire about repairing what you have. How did you break it? (the curiosity is killing me) .
2. The least expensive replacement for your D90 is the D40. You should be able to find a good used one for under £200. Before you do replace your camera, check with Nikon and see what it will cost to repair your damaged camera. If there were such a thing as a "fashion" camera (other than the Hasselblad that is) the D40 might qualify. When shooting fashion outdoors using flash, it can be very difficult to shoot a large apertures to control depth of field because most cameras have a maximum of 1/200th or 1/250th flash sync speed. The D40 does not suffer from this limitation. 3.
